Levantamento divulgado recentemente pela Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Firjan) revela que a maior parte dos municípios brasileiros conta com desempenho moderado em relação ao desenvolvimento na área da saúde.
Porém, o estudo mostra que os municípios considerados críticos têm, em média, apenas um médico para dois mil habitantes. Nas cidades com alto desenvolvimento são sete para a mesma quantidade de pessoas.
O índice leva em conta aspectos como cobertura vacinal, percentual de gestantes que realizam consultas pré-natais, incidência de gravidez na adolescência, número de internações por condições sensíveis à atenção básica e por problemas relacionados ao saneamento inadequado, entre outros.
Do total de cidades analisadas, 2.961, ou seja, 53,2%, registram pontuações entre 0,6 e 0,8 no Índice Firjan de Desenvolvimento Municipal (IFDM). Porém, mais de 39% dos entes, ou seja, 2.179 municípios, continuam em situação de baixo desenvolvimento.
De acordo com o levantamento, nos extremos, 5,8% – que corresponde a 323 cidades – registram desempenho crítico e somente 1,9%, ou 107 cidades, tem alto desenvolvimento.
Internações por saneamento inadequado
Ainda de acordo com a análise, entre os municípios críticos, há 74 internações por saneamento inadequado a cada dez mil habitantes. Nas cidades mais desenvolvidas são quatro.
O estudo também verificou casos de gravidez na adolescência. Nos entes com situação crítica, 41% das gestações são de adolescentes. Essa taxa é mais de três vezes superior à das cidades de alto desenvolvimento, com 12%.
Já as internações por causas sensíveis à atenção básica representam 33,2% do total nas cidades críticas, ou seja, mais que o dobro da proporção verificada nas cidades mais desenvolvidas, com 13,7%.
