Na segunda-feira, dia 17, o governador Jerônimo Rodrigues Souza (PT) autorizou a Secretaria de Estado de Infraestrutura Hídrica e Saneamento da Bahia a iniciar os Processos Licitatórios para a implantação de Sistemas Integrados de Abastecimento de Água (SIAA) em nove municípios do interior. Esses sistemas atenderão a 108 localidades rurais, beneficiando aproximadamente 38.286 pessoas.
O ato de assinatura das autorizações ocorreu no Centro de Operações e Inteligência (COI), situado no Centro Administrativo da Bahia, em Salvador, e contou com a presença de secretários de Estado, Diretores de Autarquias, prefeitos e Deputados Federais e Estaduais. Durante a cerimônia, o governador enfatizou a importância dessas intervenções, que evidenciam o compromisso do Governo do Estado em promover a expansão da infraestrutura de saneamento na Bahia.
As obras a serem licitadas vão exigir um investimento de cerca de R$ 135 milhões, financiados por meio do Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (PAC), como resultado da parceria entre o Governo da Bahia e o Governo Federal, através do Ministério das Cidades.
Os municípios que serão contemplados com as obras são: Bom Jesus da Lapa (R$ 7 milhões para as localidades de Bandeira, Campo Grande I, Campo Grande II e Juá), Carinhanha (R$ 10,1 milhões para Barrinha e região), Dom Basílio (R$ 9,3 milhões para Santa Luzia, Tabuá, Morro do Engenho, entre outras), Entre Rios, Feira da Mata (R$ 10,1 milhões para Pajeú e outras localidades), Jaguarari, Juazeiro, Livramento de Nossa Senhora (R$ 7,7 milhões para Barrinha, Patos e Amola Faca) e Santa Maria da Vitória (R$ 13,7 milhões para dez localidades). As obras têm um prazo de execução de sete a 12 meses.
Entre os presentes no evento estavam o vice-governador Geraldo Alves Ferreira Júnior (MDB); Larissa Moraes, secretária de Estado de Infraestrutura Hídrica e Saneamento da Bahia; Adolpho Henrique Almeida Loyola, secretário de Estado de Relações Institucionais da Bahia; Jayme Souza Vieira Lima Filho, presidente da Companhia de Engenharia Hídrica e de Saneamento da Bahia (Cerb); além dos Deputados Federal Waldenor Alves Pereira Filho (PT/BA) e Estadual José Raimundo Fontes (PT).
