Com a chegada do inverno e o aumento dos dias frios e nublados, cresce também a preocupação com os efeitos dessa mudança de clima sobre a Saúde Mental. A redução da luz solar, a alteração na rotina e o isolamento mais frequente podem agravar quadros de Depressão — e, em alguns casos, até desencadear transtornos específicos, como o Transtorno Afetivo Sazonal (TAS). Segundo a Psicóloga e Psicanalista Sílvia Santana, diretora do Ceapp (Centro de Especialização e Acompanhamento Psicológico & Psiquiátrico), a estação mais fria do ano costuma impactar diretamente o humor de muitas pessoas, especialmente aquelas que já lidam com sintomas depressivos. “A queda na exposição à luz solar tem efeitos reais sobre a produção de Serotonina, que é um Neurotransmissor fundamental para a regulação do humor, do sono e do apetite”, explica a Especialista. “Além disso, o frio tende a desestimular atividades essenciais à Saúde Emocional, como o exercício físico e a socialização.”
Durante o Outono e o Inverno, é comum que as pessoas fiquem mais reclusas, pratiquem menos atividades físicas e até mudem seus hábitos alimentares e de sono. Para quem sofre de Depressão, essas mudanças comportamentais podem funcionar como gatilhos. “A sensação de isolamento aumenta, o corpo se movimenta menos, e a tendência é que surjam sentimentos como tristeza persistente, irritabilidade, fadiga e falta de interesse por atividades que antes davam prazer”, detalha Sílvia Santana. “Quando esses sintomas aparecem de forma cíclica, ano após ano, podemos estar diante de um quadro de Transtorno Afetivo Sazonal.” O TAS é uma forma de Depressão que costuma surgir nos meses mais frios e tende a desaparecer com a chegada da Primavera ou do Verão. A condição ainda é pouco discutida no Brasil, mas já é bem documentada em países com Invernos rigorosos.
Como enfrentar os dias frios com mais leveza emocional
Apesar dos desafios, é possível adotar algumas medidas simples para lidar com os efeitos do inverno na Saúde Mental. Sílvia Santana orienta que buscar o máximo de exposição à luz natural, manter uma rotina organizada e incluir atividades prazerosas no dia a dia são atitudes fundamentais para enfrentar o período com mais equilíbrio. “É importante aproveitar ao máximo os momentos de sol, mesmo que breves. Caminhar ao ar livre, abrir janelas, manter ambientes iluminados — tudo isso ajuda. Além disso, atividades como cozinhar, ler, ouvir música ou assistir filmes podem manter a mente ativa de forma positiva”, sugere a Psicóloga.
De acordo com ela, outro ponto essencial é manter uma rotina mínima, com horários definidos para dormir, se alimentar e se exercitar. Para quem já sofre com a Depressão ou sente o humor oscilar muito nesta época, buscar apoio profissional é fundamental. “A Depressão é uma doença séria, que exige tratamento adequado. Quanto mais precoce o diagnóstico, maiores as chances de resposta positiva ao tratamento”, ressalta Sílvia Santana.

Ficar triste em dias cinzentos pode parecer algo normal, mas quando essa tristeza se torna constante, intensa ou interfere nas atividades do cotidiano, é hora de procurar apoio especializado.
