O Médico Ortopedista Dr. Graziane Rajao, do Hospital Orizonti, destaca quais são os sinais de alerta que indicam a necessidade imediata de levar o idoso a um Pronto Atendimento. Identificar esses sintomas pode fazer toda a diferença na recuperação e na qualidade de vida.
Dor muito intensa e localizada
A queixa de dor aguda e intensa, especialmente em áreas críticas como quadril, costas, cabeça ou articulações, não deve ser ignorada. Essa dor pode ser um sinal de fratura ou outra lesão grave que necessita de avaliação médica urgente e não deve ser tratada apenas como uma dor causada pelo tombo.
Inchaço ou deformidade visível
Também é importante observar atentamente o corpo do idoso. A presença de inchaço significativo, hematomas que se formam rapidamente ou qualquer deformidade visível em um membro ou articulação, como um braço ou perna em posição anormal, são fortes indicativos de fraturas ou luxações, exigindo uma visita imediata ao pronto atendimento.
Sangramento que não para ou ferimentos na cabeça
Ferimentos com sangramento que não cessa com pressão direta ou qualquer corte profundo, principalmente na região da cabeça, são motivos para buscar ajuda médica de emergência. Lesões na cabeça, mesmo que pareçam pequenas, precisam ser avaliadas por um profissional.
Dificuldade para respirar
Caso o idoso apresente qualquer dificuldade para respirar após o tombo, é fundamental procurar ajuda médica. O sintoma pode indicar lesões nas costelas ou até mesmo nos pulmões, que precisam ser investigadas com urgência para evitar complicações mais graves.
