Os esforços de internacionalização da Uesb (Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia) não param. Nesse sentido, o mais novo passo dessa caminhada é a celebração de um Convênio de Cooperação Técnica, Científica e Cultural com a Universidad de La Playa Ancha, no Chile, coordenado pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Memória: Linguagem e Sociedade da Uesb, campus de Vitória da Conquista.
O professor José Dias, Coordenador do Programa, explica que o convênio “vai proporcionar a internacionalização das redes de pesquisa, a mobilidade acadêmica de docentes e discentes, em especial, da Pós-graduação, além de permitir o contato cultural com pesquisadores de outro país”. O acordo ainda “prevê a realização conjunta de Projetos de Ensino e Pesquisa e a realização de ações de aperfeiçoamento de docentes e discentes da Graduação e da Pós-graduação”, completa o professor.
Desde 2023, a Uesb vem continuamente se empenhando na assinatura de convênios bilaterais e outras parcerias internacionais. “Por meio desses convênios, criamos Editais de Mobilidade para Servidores, Docentes, Discentes, Técnicos e Analistas”, explica Jackson Reis, assessor de Relações Internacionais da Uesb.
Com a nova parceria, a Uesb soma 36 convênios com universidades de 15 países e fortalece seu compromisso com a promoção de uma formação para a vida plena. “A Universidade tem que estar preocupada sempre com o Ensino de qualidade, pesquisa relevante, extensão, formação humana, formação profissional e tudo isso pode ganhar uma dimensão extra se a gente fizer a partir do contato com outras pessoas, outras culturas, outras instituições, outros países”, aponta o professor Luiz Otávio de Magalhães, reitor da Uesb.
