DA REDAÇÃO (*)
Em ato presidido pela primeira-dama do município, professora Luci Freire Gusmão, que representou o prefeito Herzem Gusmão Pereira, a Prefeitura Municipal de Vitória da Conquista inaugurou, na noite do último dia 4, a Escola Municipal Professora Celina de Assis Cordeiro, no Bairro Campinhos. A Unidade do Ensino Fundamental I (1ª à 5ª série), que vai atender a 360 crianças e adolescentes do Bairro e sua microrregião, foi no padrão do Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE) e conta com seis salas de aula, áreas administrativaS (sala da Diretoria e de Professores) e de serviços, refeitório, banheiros adaptados para pessoas com necessidades especiais, pátio coberto para recreação e quadra poliesportiva coberta. Na construção da Escola Municipal Professora Celina de Assis Cordeiro foram investidos R$ 1,9 milhões, financiados com recursos de convênio celebrado entre a Prefeitura Municipal e o Ministério das Cidades.
A primeira-dama e professora Luci Freire Gusmão destacou o sentimento de alegria, “como educadora”, de participar da entrega da Unidade, que apontou reforça o compromisso da Administração Municipal com as futuras gerações.
