O prefeito de Brumado, Fabrício Abrantes Pires de Souza Oliveira (Avante), acompanhado da primeira-dama Abiara Meira Dias e do secretário municipal de Infraestrutura, Serviços Públicos e Desenvolvimento Urbano, Engenheiro Vander Luís Santos Silva, esteve na quarta-feira (19) em reunião com o presidente da Empresa Baiana de Água e Saneamento (Embasa), Gildeone Almeida Santos. O encontro teve como objetivo avançar nas negociações para a formalização do Contrato de Concessão dos Serviços de Abastecimento de Água Potável e Esgotamento Sanitário, que estava vencido e não foi renovado pela gestão anterior, além de discutir a execução do Projeto de implantação do Sistema De Esgotamento Sanitário da cidade.
Durante a reunião, o prefeito Fabrício Abrantes destacou a importância de incluir novos investimentos no Projeto Básico, visando garantir intervenções essenciais, como a limpeza das margens e o aumento da crista da Barragem de Cristalândia, além de adequar a proposta para atender toda a comunidade com 100% do Esgotamento Sanitário.
O encontro, que foi agendado durante a visita do governador Jerônimo Rodrigues a Brumado no último dia 16, representa um avanço significativo para o município, buscando resolver um impasse que se arrasta por mais de 20 anos. Esse impasse começou na primeira gestão do ex-prefeito Eduardo Lima Vasconcelos (Sem Partido), que insistiu pela criação de uma Empresa Pública Municipal ou pela privatização dos serviços prestados pela autarquia estadual.
O prefeito Fabrício Abrantes (Avante) expressou otimismo em relação à resolução do impasse, enfatizando os benefícios diretos na qualidade de vida e na sustentabilidade ambiental do município. Por sua vez, o presidente da autarquia estadual, Gildeone Almeida Santos, ressaltou a importância da reabertura do diálogo com a Administração Municipal, reafirmando o compromisso do Governo do Estado e da Embasa com a execução do Projeto de Esgotamento Sanitário. Ele destacou que questões políticas haviam dificultado a realização do Projeto, mas assim que as questões burocráticas forem resolvidas e o novo Contrato de Concessão for assinado, as obras poderão ser iniciadas, uma vez que os recursos já estão assegurados.
O presidente da Embasa também afirmou que a análise de Viabilidade Técnica e Econômica do Projeto, realizada pela autarquia, indica que Brumado está preparado para receber os investimentos necessários, garantindo um Sistema de Esgotamento Sanitário moderno e eficiente.
A expectativa do Governo do Estado é que, após a conclusão dos trâmites burocráticos e a assinatura do contrato, as obras sejam iniciadas e finalizadas em até oito anos, ou seja, até 2033.
Nas próximas semanas, a Minuta do Contrato será revisada pela equipe jurídica da Prefeitura de Brumado para eventuais adequações, e um novo encontro será agendado para a assinatura definitiva do documento e o início das obras.
Ao final da reunião, o prefeito Fabrício Abrantes reafirmou seu compromisso de ajustar o Contrato com a Embasa e atender a uma demanda histórica, tirando do papel o Projeto de Implantação do Sistema de Esgotamento Sanitário.
O encontro também contou com a presença de vereadores brumadenses e deputados estaduais que acompanharam o prefeito.
