Brumado mais uma vez se destacou no cenário esportivo estadual e nacional ao conquistar sete medalhas no Campeonato “Bahia Open” de Pickleball, realizado no último fim de semana em Porto Seguro. O evento, promovido pela Confederação Brasileira de Pickleball e pela Federação Bahiana de Pickleball, reuniu atletas de 17 Estados brasileiros.
Entre os destaques da delegação brumadense está o atleta Lúcio Estrela, que garantiu o ouro nas categorias Duplas Masculinas Iniciantes e Single Iniciante (1×1). Ao todo, Brumado faturou duas medalhas de ouro, duas de prata e três de bronze, consolidando sua força na modalidade.
Esporte inclusivo e em expansão
Introduzido em Brumado em 2022, o Pickleball – esporte de raquete jogado em quadra reduzida – tem ganhado popularidade por sua acessibilidade e caráter inclusivo.
